The Balance Myth addresses the tendency in spiritual circles to try to play both sides, 'have our cake and eat it it too' so to speak. Without developing a principled approach to choice rooted in sat (truth) we just tread the waters of life but never learn to swim deep in the ocean of love. Our 'practice' becomes learning to rationalize half baked values and our own lack of integrity to the sacred whole which we want to connect with. In this discussion I will point out the common tendencies and pitfalls associated with maintaining this 'balancing act,' and share practices that stop the show and help us get to the real work of living out a harmonious and integrated life where we see everyone and everything in connection with sat. 4:30 - 5:00 p.m. EST

Learn how to soothe yourself with self-myofascial-massage and deep stretching in this short practice led by certified Roll Model Method and yoga instructor Sarah Nelson. With a specific focus on helping create happier hips, this class will use a combination of yoga postures and myofascial release (MFR) techniques to improve mobility, increase flexibility, ease muscle tension, and release sticky and stuck fascia. For this class, you will need a pair of massage therapy balls (Yoga Tune Up therapy balls are suggested, but a pair of tennis balls or your favorite MFR balls will do the trick!) and we will utilize these tools for targeted MFR techniques, as well as other active and passive stretching methods, to improve the functionality and health of your muscle and fascia tissues surrounding your hips. This class is suitable for everyone, no matter what your experience level is or usual movement and exercise practices entail. Be ready to learn more about your own anatomy and to take away self-soothing techniques you can use on your own to downregulate your nervous system and feel better in your body! 5:00 - 5:45 p.m. EST

It seems that all of us have heard of Yoga by now, and most of us have some ideas about what it is. Most of us, though, are far less familiar with Bhoga, the deep state of dis-ease of which Yoga is the cure. This discussion is a common sense and practical look at our paths, both the movement out towards dissipation and suffering, and the great movement back in to our Divine Center, which is Yoga. Still, within each of us, lies the pull of both the outward movement and the inward. The intent with this talk is to bring some light to both of these, to help us to see how the same forces within us which seemed to be enemies can be made friendly and can help to uplift us up to our goal of Happiness. 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. EST

Bhakti Karma and Jnana Yoga: Navigating Negative Emotions in Times of Trouble

Trevor Chaitanya Eller

The practice of Yoga poses can be greatly enhanced by understanding the primary branches of Yoga; Bhakti Yoga the path of spiritual devotion, Karma Yoga the path of releasing attachments to our actions via selfless service and, Jnana Yoga the inner process of discerning the unreal from the real, impermanent from the permanent and everlasting peace verses temporary peace. This lecture with Trevor Chaitanya explores how these practices can enhance yoga asana as well as our personal relationship to how we frame life situations during the troubled time period we are living in. 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. EST

This will be an inward focused Yin practice. To aid in connection of self and presence we will listen to focused poetry. Poetry is a beautiful way to calm the mind and become aware of anything we've been holding on to. Just like breath, poetry grabs hold of feelings and releases them into the world. Bring a blanket and/or blocks if you have them. We will be holding postures around 4mins and digging deep into ourselves. 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. EST
